Knocking at the Door
.

January 29 & 30

John portrays Jesus in Revelation as standing at your hearts door and knocking. What a beautiful illustration of the work the Holy Spirit does for us in the struggle of good and evil. He does not force His way in. He respects your freedom to choose to open the door. Something Satan has zero respect for, he will do all to break your door down to take control of your soul. Our only hope is to allow Jesus to come in as soon as possible. Invite Him into all of your heart, every room, allowing every aspect of your life to be filled with the presence of the Savior. One of the key components on how to best enhance this process is to study the Bible. We are instructed to search the Scriptures. Concerning the God’s word Jesus stated, “man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God”. On another occasion speaking of the Scriptures He said, “these are they which testify of Me”. And on yet another He stated to the Sadducees who were influential spiritual leaders, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God”. Matthew 22:29 The power of the Word is enabled in the life through the power of the Holy Spirit. He is knocking at the door.

Have a great day! Thank you for spending some time considering these thoughts.
