What A Promise!
.

January 19 & 20

God’s Word assures us the Holy Spirit will dwell in us if we let Him. He will also intercede for us as we pray and our prayers will be inspired by His convicting and transforming power. He shows us our true need and points us to God as the supplier of the very deficiencies we have. It is only through the Holy Spirit’s working in our lives through God’s Word that we gain a clear picture of God’s holy character of love and righteousness. As we do this we then experience a sincere, healthy humility as we approach His throne. Because we know we have the Spirit interceding on our behalf as we pray, a Savior who understands our weaknesses and serve a God who wants us to know He is our Father we can “come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 NKJV

It is true! We are God’s children! And you and I have His Holy Spirit to bear witness to that fact! What a promise!

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in
you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to
your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
          Romans 8:11 NKJV

Have a great day! Thank you for spending some time considering these thoughts.
